EXHIBITION AND FILM PROGRAMME DEDICATED TO ANDREI TARKOVSKY
The Riga Film Museum, in collaboration with the Danish Cultural Institute Riga - will launch a range of events marking the 80th anniversary of the film directing genius Andrei Tarkovsky.
Starting from 20 November, the Film Museum will host an exhibition "MIRROR BY MIRROR, Homage to Andrei Tarkovsky" by Ukrainian/Danish artist Sergei Sviatchenko. The show will display a collection of artworks inspired, among other things, by the materiality of Tarkovsky's landmark film, Mirror.
The events will be honoured by the exhibition author Sergei Sviatchenko and Andrei Tarkovsky's sister and author, Mrs Marina Tarkovskaya.
